Attendees included both elected and appointed local government officials, including those from schools and service utilities. Also attending were state and federal representatives and public finance professionals of bankers, underwriters, financial advisors, and bond attorneys. The conference focused on a wide variety of topics, including infrastructure funding for energy, broadband, water, education, tourism, economic development and education.
A central theme of the conference was collaboration and partnership for infrastructure improvements. Included in these discussions were sessions regarding regional alliances and public-private partnerships. Keynote luncheon remarks featured an overview of the impact of infrastructure development on economic expansion by Geoffrey Buswick of Standard and Poor's Rating Services.
