Dr. Charlette T. Woolridge has over 30 years of executive management experience in local and state government. She was appointed Greensville County Administrator effective August 9, 2021. Prior to that, she served as the county administrator for the County of Brunswick since April 2006. Prior to joining Brunswick County, she spent 17 years working in various senior-level positions for the City of Richmond.

Dr. Charlette T. Woolridge has over 30 years of executive management experience in local and state government. She was appointed Greensville County Administrator effective August 9, 2021. Prior to joining Brunswick County, she spent 17 years working in various senior-level positions for the City of Richmond.

Dr. Woolridge is a member of several professional organizations such as International City/County Management Association, Virginia Association of Counties, Southside Virginia Community College Board, Southern Virginia Higher Education Center Board of Trustees, Virginia’s Growth Alliance, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Woolridge earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia Union University; Masters level Certificate in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University; a Masters in General Administration from Central Michigan University; and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Woolridge serves on the VRA Board of Directors’ Audit and Compliance Committees. VRA appreciates the unique perspective that she brings, having served in a number of executive management roles in local and state government and having experience in both a rural and urban setting.
