Resilient Virginia Revolving Fund

VRA partners with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) in administering the Resilient Virginia Revolving Fund (RVRF), which was established in the Code of Virginia pursuant to Chapter 6, Title 10.1, Article 1.4, Section 10.1-603.28 and Section 10.1-603.29 during the 2022 session of the General Assembly.  The RVRF provides financial assistance to localities for projects that mitigate flood impacts to real property.  Local governments can use RVRF funds for eligible resilience projects, including but not limited to hazard mitigation of buildings, home buyouts and relocation, and to make loans or grants to private property owners for other eligible resilience purposes.

DCR manages the application process and reviews requests for loans and grants to determine eligibility for funding.  VRA coordinates the closing and servicing of RVRF loans and grants.

Documents and application materials for future RVRF funding cycles will be available and posted to DCR’s website as future funding rounds are announced.  Please refer to DCR’s website by clicking here.

The application period is open Sept. 13 until midnight on Dec. 12, 2023.  More information can be found here.
